Automatic license plate reader

Artificial intelligence system specialized in character recognition on vehicle registration plates. It can use live video recording or a single image. Having the image of the vehicle, the system immediately recognizes the plate and verifies if the vehicle has any outstanding debts, administrative or safety restrictions, on a database located inside the equipment or remotely, in a processing center.  The entire monitoring process is automatic and smart, since the information of the vehicle with restriction is immediately sent to the customer’s processing center, and also to the nearest monitoring station, if needed, so that only the vehicles with restrictions are inspected.   The monitoring procedure uses a non-intrusive method, and captures the images of all vehicles, with or without legible plates. This way, vehicles with covered or removed plates can also be monitored. In these cases, the system sends an image of the vehicle to the processing center and to the monitoring station, so that the officers in charge of the operation stop and inspect the vehicle. Besides the monitoring usefulness to the public sector, VSIS-LAP can also be used in the private sector, for access control, for example.
